At Kool Spark, we perform electrical and air-conditioning works in the Hervey Bay area. We are by far the regions highest rated electrical company (at least as far as google is concerned). We perform a wide range of work with the exception of PV, we no longer offer PV. We have clients from real estates agents, Hervey Bay's premier resorts, various builders including insurance restoration builders and other private clients.

If you've done it enough that you don't need to test, then please go and apply to another company, in saying that if you need some help to get on top of what needs to be done and you want to do the right thing, that is a different story, we will support and help you expand on your skills.

✅ Have EXCELLENT communication skills, both for the customers and with all of us.

✅ Have safety minded attitude, (we're all gonna die one day, but let's do it while doing something more fun than working!)

✅ Current Queensland manual open drivers license.

Current construction induction card.

✅ Must be a team player. We are all easy to get along with and we have some real characters in the team. All and all, we back each other up and look after each other. If any of us are having a bad day and we know about it, we would all come running to help.

✅ Be Covid Jabbed, and be willing to get a police check, (this is a requirement for some of our clients).

✅ Be willing to put your hand up and admit to not knowing something or making mistakes, this is another big one, we can't all know everything and we are not perfect, but we can always learn and there's nothing worse than messing up and blaming everything else. Stuff ups happen, work it out, find the solution, learn and move on to the next battle.

✅ Be well presented and have all the basic personal hygiene stuff under control.

✅ Be fit, healthy, and able to work.

✅ Be an all round legend who can have joke without getting serious or getting nasty.

❌ Knows everything and has to make sure everyone else knows types.

❌ “Rough enough's good enough” types.

❌ People who stare at their phone at every opportunity.

❌Can't be bothered to test why It's not working, “so It needs to be replaced” types.

❌ Can't be bothered with the paper work types.

❌ Start packing up half an hour before knock off all the time types.

❌ Flick the cigarette but in the front yard and spit on the driveway types.

❌ "Theres only one way to do everything" types

❌ Making sure everyone knows you're not happy by turning into a foul mouthed tool throwing goose types.

❌ Gone missing whenever things get hard types.

❌ And probably most importantly the “standover” types, the apprentice is just as important as the the guy writing this job add. We are not looking for a security guard to throw their weight around, we want another team member that we'd all want to have a beer with when the day is done.

⏱ Flexible hours, with in reason.. If your kid is getting an award at school and you miss out because of work then that's your fault (Most of the time). As long as the work gets done, we and the customer know what's going on and everyone's happy then why miss out? Of course it doesn't always work out but we will always try to make sure you can be at the little things that make life awesome where we can.

🤬 If you hit a nail with your drill bit or break a hole saw, grab another one, and keep on trucking. Replacing these items as they ware out is not your responsibility as far as we are concerned 😮‍💨.
